This FAQ is focused on this course content only.

Can supervision levels be changed?

YES. Supervision levels can be changed in a number of ways:
1. Prior to undertaking College assessments they can be changed with support from the principal support and the College;
OR
2. Supervision levels may be changed as the result of College examinations or workplace based assessments.

Can supervisors be changed?

YES.

Each College has differing rules regarding Supervisors so best to check first. The course includes current guidance.

AHPRA does allow supervisor changes. Permanent supervisor changes do require completion of AHPRA forms and Approval.

Temporary supervisors can be appointed and generally do not need Board approval. HOWEVER principal temporary supervisors will need Board Approval.

Do supervisors need to be approved by the College or  AHPRA?

College "rules" regarding supervisors differ. It is best to check with the College.
Principal and co-supervisors MUST be approved by AHPRA.
Temporary co-supervisors do NOT NEED to be approved by AHPRA.
Temporary principal supervisors DO need to be approved by AHPRA.

I have NOT SUPERVISED previously.

AHPRA will provide an invitation to their supervisor course once the IMG registration is approved.

And this course provides clarification of both AHPRA and College.
